If you are going about your day and suddenly the weather changes and becomes dangerous seek shelter. If you are inside go to the lowest part of the building such as a basement of cellar or go to an inner hallway or room. Stay away from windows too. Stay in until you know it has passed and don’t try to escape storm.

If you are outside try to get inside. If you can’t crouch for protection or lay in a ditch. Cover your head and neck. If you are in a car drive away from the storm. If you cannot seek shelter. If no shelter stay in car and get below the windows and leave car running.
